So, I decided to do yoga every single day for 90 days and then at the end of it if I loved it enough I would do my teacher training. I knew I wanted to do something different with my life and I wondered if yoga would be it.
So for 90 days I practiced yoga. Some days it was only 5 minutes and other days it was 20-30 minutes. At the time Drew was only 1 so I fitted in what I could, when I could. At the end of the 90 days its safe to say that I had a profound change. The difference that I felt in my body was vast. I was so much less stressed, I felt significantly more grounded and much calmer. I knew this was something I had to have in my life. So fast forward 3 years and I now teach yoga to a beautiful group of ladies and gents on a Wednesday evening and private clients. Its safe to say that I adore yoga - I love the people I come into contact with through it, how I feel in my body and the sense of calm and ease I now have. Also I now love my body so much more! Yoga is alchemical and wonderful. In this day and age we all suffer so much from anxiety, stress, depression, frustration, aggression and many other toxic feelings that take us away from our J-O-Y. It is my belief that we should encourage each other to practice anything that helps us reconnect to ourselves and our joy so that we can navigate this world a little more calmly and smoothly. So my questions to you this week are: - What could you add into your life that would make it feel more joyful? - What would you like to do that you've been putting off? - Is there anyone around you that's inspiring you? I would love to hear what you do that brings you joy and what you do in your life that brings you ease and calm! Share your thoughts down below! Also, don't forget to tell your friends about this, you never know what it could spark :)
