This is also what I call a self-loving action.
Because to care for your body requires you to have a think about how you feel in and about your body.
Do you have negative thoughts towards your body? Or are you embracing the one you have with care, love and nourishment?
It's not always easy or obvious to show yourself respect, love and care but it's a fundamental act that we can do, daily.
When we reach for those donuts, the cake and the chocolate (goodness knows I've been there!), we are not telling our bodies that we love them. No! We are telling our bodies that our emotions, anxieties and stresses are overtaking ourselves and we can't see or get passed them. So our health starts to suffer, and sometimes chronically.
But it's in these moments of stress, anxiety, over busy-ness
That our bodies need us to show them love and compassion. They need our help. Our bodies work so hard to sustain us in these challenging times - and I believe that we need to repay that commitment with nourishment.
So...how about starting with one green smoothie every day? 🌿☀️💚
