1 - Energy comes from carbs.
So if you're eating healthy carbs like grains, pulses, fruit and vegetables with lots of colours then you'll be fine. In fact you'll be more than fine, you'll have so much energy that you won't know what to do with yourself! Most of my energy comes from carrots, sweet potato, apples, pears, mangos and fruit generally. Whatever I fancy! 2 - Nutrients come from whole foods. That's right my friend! Nutrients come from whole food - so that includes all fruit, all vegetables, nuts, legumes and seeds. These are PACKED full of antioxidants, phytonutrients and help the body detox from all the carcinogens in your body (Did you read the WHO article this week?). 3 - Start Simply. If the thought of cutting out dairy and meat etc from your diet overnight seems frightening, then don't. I started off by adding one smoothie and juice into my diet every single day and then gradually I no longer wanted the food that wasn't good for me. If you start off with small changes they then keep on building into big changes before you know it.
