A friend of mine mentioned the other day that when we go through deep changes in our lives, like divorce or death or total life dismantling - it can be the trigger to turn inward and start looking at those areas that we’ve avoided.
I’m going to talk about something now that I’m pretty sure some of you will think I’m oversharing or lost my marbles about. But I’m sick of feeling any shame talking about topics which should be celebrated! Warning: if you experience any body judgement or shame, then this blog post might trigger resistance in you. In which case I urge you to keep reading.. Hey there beautiful! I've been thinking a lot lately about my home and how safe it is for my little for my family. Toxins are a buzz word at the moment, but I'd like to share with you why you should care about them...
"I can smell autumn dancing in the breeze. The sweet chill of pumpkin, and crisp sunburnt leaves." - Ann Drake
I have suffered with bloating for YEARS! After nearly every meal I’ve woken up with a big Buddha belly that made me look like I was 5 months pregnant. I have had chronic constipation and tummy issues for as far back as I can remember. Picture this: my family are sitting round the Sunday dinner table, we are eating a beautiful roast dinner and my nan very casually asks me in front of everyone how my bowel movements are going. My nan wasn’t known for her tact or her subtlety...! “Pizza Face!” This is what they used to call me at school. Let’s face it, kids at school aren’t always the most heart-centered. Each one is riddled with self-esteem issues and are learning what it means to be them.
