How plants & pausing can radically change your life.

Do you take time to pause? 

Do you look up from time to time and see what's going on around you? 

On my journey, one of the greatest challenges I've found in healing my mind, body and soul is pausing. Pausing meant that I had to face the harsh-inner dialogue that was constantly going round in my head. Pausing I knew meant that I would come face to face with my anxiety and inner conflict. So I didn't.

And then I did.

What made me? Well as many of you know, I've had many significant life challenges in the last 7 years - and I was in so much physical, emotional and mental disconnection and distress that I knew it couldn't go on like that and that I didn't want to live like that for ever.
Something has to change. So I did.
At first I started with my food and what was on my plate. Changing what I was eating had a profound and immediate change on my health. And now I can see how much of an impact it has on my son too. 

Whilst we were on holiday, he had a sorbet or two and after each one he has a massive sugar high and then a painful (for all) sugar crash. 

Changing what I ate, changed how I felt in my body, the thoughts I was having and the amount of energy I had. Then things that I'd been living with my whole life (like cystic acne) started to heal too. 
After starting to add in healthier smoothies and feeling so much better, I began to journal. 
I journaled my thoughts - especially when I was triggered. I knew I had to uncover what was causing me to feel anxiety, fear and pain - and to heal that too. I started by writing out my timeline of my life to connect the dots of what painful events were interconnected with the same pattern from childhood onwards. I started to see influences, impressions and where I'd felt pain etc and importantly how that pain influenced me presently. 

I wrote to myself every day: "how am I today?" And "I am feeling this today..." and "what kinds of feelings are coming up"

I was paying attention to my impulses and becoming more and more mindful- creating self-awareness. 

I learnt to pause and to breathe. 

After a while I began to understand myself more, heal and show myself love. It made me lighter and felt so good. 

If you're struggling with anxiety, pain, trauma or just feeling depressed, sad, lost or any of these feelings - some of my suggestions above can help you start to free yourself. 
We ALL have the option to gift ourselves self-love and self-esteem. 
We simply need the tools to do it and make a commitment to our mental, spiritual and physical health. 💕❤️✨
